Job Description

STV currently has an opening in its' NYC Office for aResident Senior Engineer for ourTransportation and Infrastructuredivision to work on transportation and bridge projects in the New York Metropolitan Area. TheResident Engineershould have a minimum of 11 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on infrastructure and preferably transportation infrastructure construction projects. Candidate should have experience withand working knowledge of PANYNJ, NYCDDC,NYSDOT and/or NYCDOT policies, procedures, and specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization and time management skills.

The Resident Engineer leads and supervises / manages a field staff (including monitoring budgets) for inspection of construction; reviews the construction schedule and chairs job related meetings; reviews and monitors the Contractor's for contract compliance; reviews and provides recommendations to the Design Engineer concerning Contractor's Requests and serves as the Owner's on-site representative with the Contractor to coordinate and monitor matters of quality, schedule, cost, substantial conformance to the contract documents.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 11 years of relevant experience with leading major infrastructure capital construction projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE); registration in NYS is required.
  • Master's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience with NYC, NYS and MTA agencies is a plus.

Compensation Range:

$164,211.00 - $218,949.00
