RSM's AML/Regulatory Compliance group in association with our national Blockchain and Digital Assets team is currently seeking a strong resource to join our fast-growing Risk Consulting practice at the Manager level. This position will lead and deliver regulatory compliance internal audits, assessments, model validations and other services at client locations within financial institutions.

Position Description:

  • Develop strong relationships with existing clients and prospective clients within banking and financial services industries to enable effective sales
  • Work individually or as part of a team to execute model validation activities and testing against BSA/AML and OFAC models, including assessing risks related to model design, data, output, and governance.
  • Work individually or as part of a team to execute BSA/AML and OFAC audits for financial institutions of all sizes and complexities.
  • Demonstrate expertise in BSA/AML and OFAC including:
    • BSA/AML and OFAC laws and regulations as well having a some understanding and experience of how to apply requirements in financial service environment
    • Creative problem-solving abilities and ability to interpret information and regulatory requirements in order to advise clients on compliance issues by implementing sound solutions.
    • An understanding of internal control environment that is appropriate to mitigate the risks with BSA/AML and OFAC laws and regulations.
  • Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of testing documentation, procedures and tools to automate and standardize validation processes
  • Contribute to strong client relationships through positive client support and sound expertise
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to maintain and grow knowledge in BSA/AML and OFAC regulations and industry best practices.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives aimed at continually improving testing processes
  • Engage in project lifecycle activities from initiation to close-out, including conducting risk assessments and client walkthroughs, preparing and reviewing work product, and preparing client deliverables
  • Support our people - work collaboratively with others and provide on the job training to develop team members
  • Support our clients - conduct yourself in a professional manner and develop meaningful relationships with client personnel

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree
  • CAMS or CCAS certifications
  • 8+ years of AML, Regulatory Compliance and/or Model Validation experience in a financial services setting
  • Previous experience working in a consulting or professional services environment
  • Project management and supervisory experience
  • Exemplary client service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal/written communication, leadership and analytical skills needed to manage project teams, review workpapers, prepare client reports, and present results to clients in a timely manner
  • Familiarity with Actimize, FIS Prime, or Verafin systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Experience working for the FDIC, CFPB, OCC or financial agencies and/or experience working in a compliance role within a regional bank or community bank

Compensation Range: $98,600 - $209,900 |
