Gilbane is seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead and mentor the MEP teams on multiple projects, while working with Project Managers and Project Executives to help define regional needs and project specific needs in all areas of MEP. Protect Gilbane and the owner from cost and schedule impacts
• Coordinate with Project Managers and MEP staff to gain an understanding of needs and how to best assist each project
• Provide oversight and assume accountability for MEP-GMP preparation
• Assist with the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan
• Manage the MEO document review process, Value Engineering and constructability in conjunction with MEP field staff
• Assume overall responsibility for the buyout, installation, and testing of control systems on multiple projects
• Establish long term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
• Assume overall responsibility for the MEP discipline and associated staff members on simultaneous complex projects
• Identify staffing needs and assess staff skill levels
• Provide leadership in peer group activities

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• BS OR MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 20+ years related field experience
• 10-15 years in a supervisory role on a $100+ million construction projects; labratory/healthcare/semiconductor experience preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to provide MEP guidance and oversight to multiple complex projects that are predominately MEP
• Ability to manage and mentor experienced staff members on multiple projects
• Strong scheduling skills and proficiency in P6
• Demonstrate strong risk management skills
• Must be able to create an environment where "safety first" is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
• OSHA 30 hour certified

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

For Albany, NY this ranges from $159,100.00 - $218,700.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
