Job Summary:

Belden Inc. is currently seeking an RF Engineer for their Broadband Solutions team. This position is responsible for the design, production, maintenance, and testing of communications products and will provide technical guidance to internal and external customers on RF product related issues. This is an onsite position located in East Syracuse, NY and reports to the Sr. Product Line Manager, RF Devices.

You will make a difference in the following ways:
  • Design passive and active RF broadband products consisting of amplifiers, splitters, directional couplers, filters, signal detection with some supported or controlled by logic devices. The operational frequencies of these products are primarily in the 5 - 1700MHz range with occasional work in the 2.5 - 3GHz area.
  • Creates all required documentation required for development and production to include, but not limited to components, schematics, Gerbers, test plans.
  • Contribute to new product concepts and patents by staying informed with the technological trend of the industries served by Belden as well as being current with customer and competitor initiatives.
  • Perform field ride-outs at customers location/systems, collecting information about installation practices and product used.
  • Meet with vendors to understand how existing and new technologies can be best applied to the benefit of both the customer and Belden.
  • Train Belden associates, vendors and customers as needed so the company can effectively source, manufacture, sell and support the company's products.

What you bring:
  • Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum one (1) year of experience in RF.
  • Knowledge & Skills -Technical proficiency in RF Engineering and RF test equipment (spectrum and network analyzers); Proficiency with RF simulation, PCB schematic and layout software (Altium or Genesys)
  • We Reach for Greatness - Well-developed organization skills, including the ability to handle many details and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $71, 800 - $107, 700plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
