The salary range for this role, based in New York is $130,400.00 to $163,000.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary

This role will report to the Director, Commercial Performance and is responsible for compiling the Commercial performance narrative, explaining the 'What', 'Why' and 'So What' from a national and division/market perspective, analyzing the drags/drivers of business performance, and providing insights to improve execution results.

As part of the Business Performance team, this role will be instrumental in leading the commercial performance management framework, bridging commercial results with Brand / Portfolio finance. In addition, this role will be required and play a key role in implementing value creation strategies and process efficiencies across the portfolio of brands to drive sustainable revenue and profitability. Primary stakeholders include the wider Business Performance team, Portfolio Finance, Commercial Finance Directors and Managers, as well as Commercial Leadership (Division Vice Presidents, VP Commercial Strategy, Planning & Performance)

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Analytical Excellence

  • Coordinate and assist with the delivery of the company-wide commercial performance narrative, which combines market dynamics, distributor economics, and internal commercial results, to provide a 'single source of truth' to executive leadership
  • Monitor and communicate monthly commercial performance (NNS and depletions), tracking variance vs forecast and plan
  • Drive accuracy for monthly commercial performance (NNS and depletions) forecasts and align with PRUSA Reporting Team on submissions to HQ

- Cross-Functional Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, and other teams to implement commercial actions (including pricing/promos, channel expansion, etc.) that align with the organization's broader business objectives
  • Actively monitor P&L, tracking volumes, gross sales, and sales reduction levers (including promos and discounts), making recommendations to senior leadership to ensure financial delivery for the organization

- Team Leadership

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and development
  • Drive continuous process improvement recommendations and implementation, to improve Commercial and Finance ways of working

Experience/Background

  • 7+ years of work experience, preferably with 3-4 years of experience in financial planning, business analysis or strategy, budgeting, and/or management consulting. Previous commercial experience is an asset
  • Exposure to the consumer goods and/or beverage industry preferred
  • Self-starter, team-player, innovative, and relationship builder
  • Strong leader who motivates peers and field teams to support and facilitate change
  • Strong analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability in developing materials and effectively presenting information, including to C-Suite members
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and can build financial models in Excel
  • Extensive experience with business systems (Essbase, JDE, PowerBI, Tableau, VIP Depletions)
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment

Education

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Strategy or Economics; MBA preferred

Travel

  • This position may travel up to 10% of the time.
