The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice Chair of Faculty Affairs and Department Administrator, the Manager of Faculty Promotions will have managerial and administrative responsibility for all faculty promotions. The Manager will also oversee the enrollment and credentialing functions for providers within the department.

The Manager is responsible for driving efficiency, quality, and a high standard of customer service. She/he is also responsible for working with a high volume of confidential information related to full-time faculty appointments and must demonstrate exceptional tact, discretion, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee faculty senior promotion processes, including tenure, tenure-track, non-tenure, and expedited reviews.
  • Coordinate the Department of Psychiatry's Committee on Appointments and Promotions (COAP - Committee on Appointments and Promotions) and tenure reviews. Prepare and monitor external and internal tenure cases. Supports the search committee and prepares materials in the support of recruitment.
  • Manage and solicit referee letters and utilize TIQR - departmental intake system in maintaining overall records.
  • Prepare MOAs and MOUs in conjunction with Department Administrators. Responsible for circulating for signatures, etc. and working with HR/FA to process paperwork to update title.
  • Partner in conjunction with Business and IT Directors to implement workflow processes and improve faculty promotion tracking system.
  • Maintains screening of Staff Exclusion List (SEL) and Statewide Central Register (SCR)- required by the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and responsible for managing interstate licensure.
  • Manage psychology extern and social worker intern credentialing.
  • Act as a department liaison with CU Faculty Affairs Office, licensing organizations and medical specialty boards. Maintain proficiency in licensure and specialty board's requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement new systems and revise current systems to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with the policies, procedures and the regulations of the University, affiliated organizations, and external agencies.
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication in English, and proficient in spoken and written Spanish.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in education and experience.
  • Minimum of (4) years related experience required, preferably in higher education administration and a setting of a high-level University office environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and judgment skills.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to act with tact and discretion.
  • Prior experience in a higher education or academic medical center setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Zoom.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with faculty promotions.

  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at different levels, as well as the ability to work in a highly visible fast paced environment all while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to execute complex tasks under demanding deadlines.
  • Proven ability to provide the highest level of customer service.
  • Strong analytical ability and organizational skills; and exceptional multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to retain a large amount of information and present/interpret it to various audiences.
