Overview

This role will be assisting the executive leadership to manage the business, understand the impact of potential financial changes, manage general operating expenses, understanding the impact on PL statements, and communicating insightful information gathered from the recent historical results. It will assist to consolidate projected results compared to actual performance, monitor transformational activities related to FP&A, and establish processes focused on FP&A activities. Explore opportunities to enhance meaningful business metrics and analysis to facilitate better business decision making.

Responsibilities
    Work with FP&A leadership to establish budgets/plans and provide insight.
  • Develop standard management reports and KPIs to support North America Specialty Risk leadership and senior management
  • Review actual/forecasted results compared to budgets and provide insights/analysis
  • Develop input to executive FP&A presentations
  • Work with the FP&A expense lead to help manage costs
  • Assist with adhoc analysis
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Finance, Economics or Risk Management
  • Understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting
  • 5-7 years of total professional experience in FP&A
  • General Insurance experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced skills in Excel; Familiarity with business intelligence tools (PowerBI)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Expense modelling experience in an FP&A environment
  • Experience allocating expenses to product P&L's
  • Former financial expense partnering
  • Program management experience

The salary range for this role is $110K - $135K per year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
