Design, create, and evaluate novel ingredients for use in the Personal and Home Care Markets.
Lead, plan, and execute product development projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Manage multiple projects, emphasizing clear timelines, goals, and deliverables.
Author comprehensive project summaries and technical reports.
Communicate results through written reports and presentations in internal meetings and external conferences.
Promote innovation in strategic growth areas, resulting in impactful intellectual property.
Maintain a safety mindset and contribute to safety teams, ensuring a secure working environment for all employees.
Collaborate closely with material scientists and formulators to generate essential data for customer adoption.
Define reproducible lab-based processes and partner with Process for commercial-scale support.
Align projects globally with marketing and business functions to meet customer/market needs.
Engage suppliers, assist customers, and support new product launches.
Manage support resources with a global organizational perspective.

Qualifications:The following are required for the role
Expertise in polymer chemistry and synthetic techniques commonly used in a laboratory setting, particularly on the 50ml-2L scale.
5+ years of industry experience
A track record of high academic achievement and creative independent research.
A results-oriented, self-motivated individual with a high level of technical curiosity.
Creativity and practicality, along with the ability to adapt effectively to change.
Demonstrated capability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously, working well in a cross-functional team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills to encourage teamwork and foster an environment of achievement.
Ability to generate intellectual property (journals, patents, trade secrets) and understand the IP landscape related to project areas.
Willingness to travel up to 10% to learn firsthand from customers about their needs for the products under development.
A working knowledge of standard personal computer applications (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, etc.).
Education Requirement: Doctorate in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering.
The following are preferred qualifications:
10+ years of experience in product development for the Personal Care and Home Care Markets.
A track record of continuous success in launching new products and contributing to projects with significant business impact.
Working knowledge of personal care and home care markets, with a focus on natural and naturally derived products.
Familiarity with the principles of green chemistry in product design.
Proficiency in basic statistics, including the Design of Experiments (DOE).
