Sr. Human Resources Generalist

Full-Time

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Sr. Human Resources Generalist who has a passion for helping people. This role involves providing administrative support and guidance to the Human Resources Department and reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department primarily with benefits, Leaves of Absences paperwork, Workers' Compensation, compliance, employee relations, onboarding, recruiting and other related tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Benefits:

  • Prepare FMLA, PFL, Disability, and general leave paperwork
  • Process Workers' Compensation and OSHA requirements and reports
  • Point of contact for employee general benefit inquires

Recruiting

  • Participate in various recruiting tasks, including registering attending virtual and in-person career fairs
  • Recruit, coordinate, and conduct interviews
  • Process and follow up with background and drug screen follow up

On-Boarding

  • Administer new hire process including processing of new hire paperwork, onboarding, and orientation meetings
  • Process E-Verify and state reporting for all new hires in a timely manner
  • Assign new hire training modules

General

  • Manage the storage and administration of employee documentation
  • Preserve confidentiality of information
  • Answer general HR questions and inquiries
  • Order and maintain company DTB logo wear clothing
  • Coordinate and support corporate events
  • Conduct exit interview process including termination paperwork
  • Coordinate all required health and safety training for all DTB employees.
  • Update the Employee Handbook and other documents as assigned
  • Process all tuition reimbursements, referral bonuses and Instant Recognition Awards
  • Process employment verifications
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain DTB policies electronically and paper
  • Process birthday cards and holiday cards
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc HR reports for hiring, turnover, training, etc.; create, maintain, and enhance reports needed
  • Create or prepare correspondence as requested
  • Performs other related duties
  • Assist with accounting tasks as requested

The ideal candidate will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business-related field
  • Min. 5+ years HR experience
  • Min 2+ years Benefits/ Leave administration
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP, a plus!
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platform
  • Experience with Applicant Pro or similar ATS a plus
  • Dependable, team oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects
  • A valid driver's license for occasional business travel.
  • Payroll/Accounting experience a plus!
