Position Description
PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity! The Finance Intern, Commercial Finance plays a crucial role in supporting intelligent, financially sound decision making related to PAR's operational expenses. This highly visible role offers career opportunities and progression in a high-growth environment, as well as exposure to key leaders in the organization.
What We're Looking For
- A current student working on your Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- Must possess strong finance and accounting skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and solid business acumen
- Systems Knowledge & Experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn new systems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
Why We Need You
- Help prepare and maintain the monthly financial package which provides key insights, P&Ls and financial performance indicators.
- Assist in the monthly close process including preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Be a business partner / liaison with key business leaders.
- Analyze the monthly financial data and help the Business Leader focus on what's important and specific actionable items moving forward
- Understand and communicate the narrative of specific business areas
- Support monthly forecasting process including workforce/headcount planning
- Assist in automating the reporting process leveraging reporting tools
