Marcum LLP is seeking a Business Enterprise Services Senior to join our Riverhead, NY office. This position requires a high-energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, with clients and with a team, along with a strong desire to be willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state and local corporate, individual, and partnership returns, including exercising professional judgement with respect to recognizing tax situations to develop solutions
• Review and update clients' accounting records
• Interact closely with clients to provide innovative business tax planning, consulting, and compliance services in a timely and effective manner
• Successfully manage multiple engagements
• Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies
• Work closely with Partners, Senior Managers, Managers, and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities
• Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a BS/BBA in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years in public accounting, with relevant audit and tax experience
• CPA credentials or in the process of completion of the CPA exam
• Knowledge of GAAP/GAAS/Tax laws
• Strong technology skills
• Strong time management and analytical skills
• Ability to problem solve and think creatively and logically
