Position Summary

IPG Mediabrands is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, logistics-oriented Senior Associate to join the events team. You will have knowledge of building presentations and the ability to problem solve. In this opportunity, you will assist with communications and projects for media partners as well as see all the behind the scenes of event planning! The event senior associate plays a role in all internal events, smaller events, support all global events and will report to the Director of Global Events.

The expected duration for this role will be approximately three months (40 hours a week), with a possibility of extension or conversion to full-time.

Responsibilities
  • Support the SVP and Director of Global Events with large virtual and in-person global and U.S. experiences, including brand summits, leadership meetings, executive dinners and holiday parties to include but not limited to CES and Cannes Lions from conception to post event operations.
  • Provide project management support by preparing draft communications, timelines, presentations and overseeing design elements.
  • Oversee the management of the Mediabrands events portal as well as IPG Meeting website to begin the necessary process for site selection.
  • Support corporate communications with the promotion of all events, both prior to execution and across social channels
  • Professional writing skills are needed in this position, as well as AV and design knowledge.
  • Provide support on all event related inquires.
  • Develop and maintain rooming lists, update agendas, and create run of show documents to be distributed to internal clients for review.
  • Work with video production crews and Design Director or freelancer to ensure brands are represented accurately.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 2-3 years event/project management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding variants of design formats (.jpeg, .ai, .pdf, .png, etc.)
  • Ability to handle last-minute changes and carry through events with an air of calmness
  • Detail and deadline-oriented, creative problem solver
  • Ability to thrive and remain organized in an environment where priorities shift
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams/Live Stream capabilities
  • Ability to travel when needed
