Summary: The Child Mind Institute (CMI) is recruiting a Scientific Software Engineering Generalist to join our software research team and help us develop and maintain various scientific software packages, pipelines, and web-based applications for use in mental health research. The Scientific Software Generalist will work within the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation, and Rigor, working both on the Data Analytics Core that supports ongoing needs of initiatives throughout CMI, and on dedicated software products such as the Configurable Pipeline for the Analysis of Connectomes. Their responsibilities include writing, debugging, and testing code for arbitrary image and signal processing and data analysis tasks, software packaging, and the development of training resources. Ultimately, successful candidates will use common frameworks, platforms, and languages, such as Python, R, GitHub, and high performance computing infrastructures, to assist with software development initiatives at the interface of our clinical and fundamental research needs. Projects supported will range from NIH-funded studies to large-scale initiatives (e.g., Next Generation Digital Therapeutics Program, SNF Global Center). Reporting to the Director of the Center for Data Analytics, Innovation and Rigor (DAIR), this is an exempt, full-time position located in either New York City, NY, USA or Montreal, QC, Canada.
