Job Description

Process Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians working on improving process engineering capabilities to support a specific area of a manufacturing organization. The front-end processes primarily include Die-bonding, Wire-bonding, System Soldering, Molding, Trim and Form and Final Test but other supporting manufacturing processes can also be in scope of this role.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to Manufacturing engineers.
  • Contribute to defining operational strategy and develop the team in support of business strategy
  • Lead the successful transfer of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing Operations, ensuring seamless integration of processes and systems. Optimize Time to Market for successful new product launches meeting customer targeted timelines.
  • Serve as a process leader for Die-bonding, Wire-bonding, System Soldering and Molding processes or other manufacturing processes and ensuring optimal performance for quality and output
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Act as the liaison between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to optimize designs for manufacturability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by effective use of Danfoss Business Systems (DBS) problem solving tools
  • Drive for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods, striving to optimize processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strategy for the continuous improvement of quality (yield), OEE, cost and process optimization measures from C sample production
  • Strive to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control, enhancing overall manufacturing capabilities
  • Identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory agency requirements, ISO standards, and customer requirements, ensuring compliance across all manufacturing processes
  • Manage resources effectively to meet production schedules and project deadlines, including personnel, equipment, and budget allocation
Background & Skills
  • Minimum requirement: 4 year degree and 5+ years of relevant industrial experience.
  • 2+ years of Supervisory experience and proven project management skills is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct a function or multiple sub-functions through managers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of problem-solving methodologies is highly desired.
  • Commitment to driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work on issues of diverse scope and provide input on key issues impacting the function.
  • Experience in interacting with senior management, with the ability to change thinking and gain acceptance from others.
  • Ability to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface between engineering and manufacturing/production teams.
  • Ability to influence and gain acceptance from others, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage change.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience with SAP is desired
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support business objectives.

Compensation Data

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $110,000-$140,000/year. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
