About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Immigration and Global Mobility Manager to oversee and manage our company's immigration processes and global mobility programs. This role will focus on US immigration and mobility with a global mindset to manage broader global mobility initiatives. You will be involved in collaborating with external partners, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing support to employees during international assignments and relocations. What You'll Do

Immigration:

  • Collaborate with our external immigration attorneys to manage all aspects of business visitor visas, employment visas, permanent residency applications, and citizenship applications, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Provide guidance on visa processing times, sponsorship requirements, associated risks, and costs for potential candidates.
  • Maintain and review visa tracker, ensuring timely initiation and filing of extensions.
  • Ensure full compliance with immigration records maintenance.
  • Draft and complete visa/travel letters as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop recommendations to enhance efficiency and improve the employee experience.
  • Coordinate resolutions to complex immigration matters with outside counsel, communicating solutions to employees and the business.
  • Educate managers and employees on visa and green card application and renewal processes.
  • Communicate global immigration policies and develop procedures across the region.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and support ad-hoc projects as needed.

Global Mobility:

  • Partner with relocation vendors to administer domestic transfers and international relocations and assignments, including creating cost projections and relocation/assignment letters.
  • Coordinate resolutions to complex mobility cases with relocation vendors.
  • Monitor immigration and mobility compliance and risks.
  • Coordinate payments related to the mobility program (e.g., billing/invoices, reimbursements, general expenses).
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to create and communicate relocation packages, answering questions and resolving issues.
  • Communicate global mobility policies and procedures across the region.
  • Consult with HR, other stakeholders, and business units to determine the options for international moves.
  • Provide advice on international employee mobilization topics, building knowledge in our global mobility information repository.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop new approaches to streamline and improve mobility processes globally.
  • Partner with our corporate parent and work collaboratively on complex employee situations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key HR and business contacts.
  • Manage a portfolio of cases across different business divisions and levels, focusing on moves into the US and Canada.
  • Manage the assignee/permanent transfer experience from beginning to end.
  • Work closely with external vendors to ensure exceptional service to employees and maximize cost efficiencies.
  • Coordinate internal transfer requirements for international assignments and permanent transfers, such as payroll, pension, benefits, and HRIS updates.

What You'll Need

  • 4-5 years of immigration and global mobility experience.
  • Strong knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
  • Project management experience.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in global mobility is essential, with in-house experience preferred.
  • Experience with assignment compensation strategies and benefit programs preferred.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Proactive in seeking out solutions and improvements in user experience.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness, sensitivity, and high level of confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated with high integrity, judgment, and self-awareness.
  • Good working knowledge of tax, immigration, and social security regulations, particularly in the US and Canada.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to constantly reprioritize.
  • Global team player, able to work effectively and inclusively with remote teams, with a view to developing people management skills.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$75,000$180,000 USD
