The position is based in Midtown Manhattan, will report to the Director of Debt Portfolio Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite property level cash flows and perform property valuations.
  • Assist in preparation of Investment Committee memos.
  • Engage third party reports, including appraisals, PCA, ESA, and Insurance.
  • Monitoring of bridge/transitional loans including quarterly asset reviews, draw requests and cash management.
  • Assist in monitoring and valuing watchlist loans on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in the review, analysis and approval process of borrower requests (modifications, extensions, assumptions, collateral releases, collateral substitutions, release of escrows/LC's/Master Leases, waiver of loan document provisions and major lease approvals) and other material loan events.
  • Assist in addressing investor loan and portfolio level inquiries in addition to ongoing investor reporting.
  • Participating and/or lead ad hoc projects as necessary.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in real estate, finance or related discipline).
  • 1-3 years of experience in portfolio management, underwriting, and/or credit risk role at an institutional balance sheet lender.
  • Experience in valuing multi-family, industrial, office and retail properties.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and creating presentations utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Argus training desired.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, highly organized.
  • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.


Salary Range: $ 80,000.00 - $ 95,000.00
