Position Summary


This position is within Acadia, which is a wholly owned business within LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and is part of its Post Trade division. The Business Development Associate role functions as the product areas' ambassador externally, partnering with Sales and Marketing as a subject matter expert. The position reports into the co-head of Business Development within Acadia's Strategic Development organization.


The core focus of the role is to support Sales with collateral management products globally in one-on-one client sessions and group selling efforts. This regularly includes conducting collateral management and other product demos. The ideal candidate will have domain expertise in collateral management, operate with a commercial mindset, and have very strong communication to help drive client and industry momentum towards greater product use. Additionally, the individual should have the ability to learn and help drive future product improvements across a wider range of post-trade capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Executes product demos in a variety of settings

  • Supports sales in selling efforts with the industry

  • Helps develop and own business plans for Acadia's Workflow and Agreement suite of products

  • Interacts with clients to identify the needs of the industry in support of collateral management as well as other ancillary post-trade processes (agreement management, settlement management, etc.)

  • Uses collateral management expertise to aid clients on how to solution industry or client specific product needs

  • Understands, articulates, and implements industry regulatory requirements and best practices related to collateral, messaging, and agreement management

  • Helps manage vendor relationships and sourcing related to the product suites, and works closely with partners

  • Provides guidance for development prioritization

  • Provides second-line support and guidance on client-specific queries

  • Nurtures and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders internally and externally

  • Articulates and communicates effectively to a diverse set of roles and seniorities across the industry

  • Reads the industry and understands and predicts trends that will have significant momentum (or industry interest) and positions Acadia to capitalize on that momentum/interest

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Familiar with collateral management processes across the non-cleared OTC, cleared OTC, ETD, Repo, and TBA markets

  • Hands-on experience with collateral management systems

  • Experience at a financial institution or collateral management vendor in a relevant role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Maintains understanding of the various legal agreements used by counterparties to collateralize or margin trades

  • Organized with an ability to prioritize and meet established target date

Compensation/Benefits Information (New York applicants only):

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $99,100 - $184,300.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
