General Summary:
The Color Match Coordinator or Technician ensures that color samples are scheduled in accordance with customer specifications at the lowest possible cost, while meeting company standards for quality and performance.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
* Schedules and coordinates color match requests to assure on-time, cost effective, accurate color match samples are delivered to the customer.
* Organizes and maintains color match records.
* Generates shop orders for samples, chip label production, and order matches.
* Communicates with Lab, Customer Service, and Sales to assure that customer requirements are understood.
* Prepares color matching samples for shipment.
* Labels and files sample retains.
* Generates correspondence for customers to include request for formulas, retains, and regulatory documentation.
* Communicates with customers regarding status of samples/orders and to obtain samples.
* Maintains the Quality Assurance log.
* Maintains pricing quotes for Sales area.
* Develops and maintains accurate and current understanding of customers' business and processes in order to improve customer service and reduce cost.
* Utilizes automated systems and technology (SAP, PC, Color Computer, etc.) to develop, diagnose and/or improve processes and resolve customer issues.
* Develops and maintains a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions.
* Observes applicable Safety, Health, and Environmental rules and guidelines. Uses appropriate personal protective equipment.
* Attends and participates in training opportunities and seminars relevant to this position. #LI-CB1
