Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physical Therapy Supervisor - Rusk Rehabilitation at NYU Langone South Shore Neurologic Associates.

In this role, the successful candidate Provides patient care, over sees the department s daily operation. Works collaboratively within the multidisciplinaryHealth team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care. Responsible for planning and managing multidisciplinary rehabilitation program development, performance improvement, new staff selection, training and annual performance reviews.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Communicates with Information Technology (IT) security and our electronic note writing program regarding all problems and upgrades necessary to meet documentation requirements.
    • Mentors and manages team members to assure that quality care is delivered with compassion and dignity and respect, as well as efficiency.
    • Participates in unitdepartmentorganizational performance improvement activities. Delegates tasks to front line and support staff as appropriate.
    • Plans the delivery of safe, therapeutic, age-appropriate patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation over a defined scope of practice.
    • Develops, executes and evaluates programs as a result of hospital and community needs. .
    • Oversees day to day operation of office and works closely with office coordinator to ensure communication for appropriate workflow.
    • Participates in the selection of new staff members and orientation of new employees. Performs annual peer review of current staff.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor s Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program). Current and valid NYS Physical Therapy license and registration. Current and valid BLS or CPR certification. 5 7 years Experience in an out-patient orthopeadic setting and/or acute care setting,. 1 2 years Management or supervisory. Strong communication (both oral and written), counseling, customer service, problem-solving, planning, organization, and multitasking skills. Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $108,582.53 - $133,013.77 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
