Job Description

Our Dewberry New York, NY office is ready to hire you as the next Electrical Project Engineer. We're looking for someone that can bring design experience in electrical lighting and power systems, fire alarm systems, public address system, clock system, telephone system, intercom system, master antenna cable TV system, intrusion detection alarm system, emergency and standby power systems and access control system for commercial, industrial and institutional facilities, subways, tunnels, bridges, and highways.

Responsibilities
    Prepare electrical engineering calculations, code analysis, reports, schematic and construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
  • Serve as the Electrical Project Engineer of assigned projects and execute designs with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections of electrical systems.
  • Perform EE analysis such as short circuit studies, Arc Flash studies, etc.
  • Serve as Project Manager on small electrically oriented projects.
  • Attend client and contractor meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university.
  • 5-7 years direct experience in related electrical engineering design.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and good working knowledge of Revit, MS Office, etc.
  • Proficiency in SKM Power Tools and Visual Lighting software.
  • Electrical Engineer with a New York PE License is required (or Out of State PE license with qualifications to obtain New York PE License).
  • Experience w Electric Utility Company Interface, Cogeneration systems, Emergency Power and/or Solar & Energy Storage Systems is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $102,500-$130,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
