Structure Tone is looking for a Senior Project Accountant to support their team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Working withCMICsoftware specifically R12.
  • $300-400 million in total workload
  • Obtain the contractGMPand review with Estimating and Project Management to properly assign phase codes and enter original budget into theCMiCaccounting system
  • Map Bill codes and set up invoices for billing (G702, G703format)- use the company standard format
  • ReviewPCI'sand change order requests, as prepared by project management. Update, and post as required.
  • Review subcontracts and subcontractor change orders. Review change orders for proper attachments and backup, math errors and check established billing rates. Confirm there are established billing rates for all subs.
  • Review all invoices and subcontractor progress payment forms (A-3's) for billing. Check flysheets for accuracy, job name, math errors, previous billings and past due balances. Do not process statements for billing but review all statements to ensure that all invoices have been received.
  • Review Owner Change Order(AIAformat).CimfirmOCOis complete and accurate before posting. Update G703 and G702 billing to reflect new contract amount when preparing bill.
  • Prepare monthly requisition for ProjectManagers'review. Include all costs for the month including labor, general conditions, subcontractor invoices, insurance and all applicable taxes. Make sure that the current labor rates, as per contract documents, are being used. Check that the insurance and tax rates are current.
  • Post monthly sales.
  • Prepare cost over billings to ensure job is being billed properly. Identify job cost items not billed and ensure that these items are included in next month's billing or coded asnon-reimbursable. Identify and report any other variances.
  • Prepare journal entries to move job cost frompreconstructionto the live job, and correct any posting errors.
  • Prepare gross/net schedule where applicable. Reconcile the amount to be paid directly to the subcontractors by the owner(agency)with the amount billed and posted to the agency G/L account.
  • Reconcile assigned suspense accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Attend monthly accounting staff meetings. Complete all duties in compliance with themonth-endschedule.
  • Assist Project Manager with closeout procedures. Ensure that all costs have been received, processed and included in the final billing. Check that all applicable waivers have been received.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent accounting experience
  • At least 5+ years project accounting experience
  • CMiCsoftware experience a plus or other comparable accounting software.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Desire to learn and accept new challenges.

Salary Range

  • Desired salary range $80,000- $120,000
