Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager to join our Planning team in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse or Albany, NY.

Planning has been a core practice at Colliers Engineering & Design for more than a decade. Our award-winning, nationally-recognized team of professional planners, landscape architects, civic engagement specialists, GIS analysts and environmental scientists works with communities to develop plans and designs that are creative, well-rounded, thoughtful and realistic.


Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Landscape Architects and Planners to facilitate a range of site, neighborhood and area master planning projects.
  • Lead the preparation of a wide range of design-based planning projects, including waterfront revitalization plans, downtown revitalization plans, form based codes, trail feasibility studies, park master plans, and resiliency plans.
  • Oversee the design and production of construction drawings for site specific design projects.
  • Research zoning, precedents, and agency regulations as needed to advance projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partnering organizations.
  • Lead project team to create proposal and presentation materials.
  • Facilitate committee, stakeholder and community meetings to advance project goals.
  • Mentor and coach staff to grow professionally and increase professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Master's preferred.
  • At least 8+ years of experience.
  • RLA Licensure required.
  • Working knowledge of InDesign, Sketchup, Lumion, etc.
  • Strong graphic and rendering capabilities required.
  • Operational knowledge of Civil3D and GIS.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and practices involved in production of quality technical plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of plant materials, design materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of site related structures.
  • Experience with NYS funding programs preferred, such as DRI, NYF, BOA, CSC and LWRP.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Business development experience.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Able to work closely with others and lead/work independently.

Compensation: $88,000-$113,000 DOQ.
