Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Assistant Manager -(Retail Services),Food + Nutrition.

In this role, the successful candidate Is responsible for the management and execution of superior quality within all retail venues to enhance client satisfaction while maintaining efficient, cost effective operations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates knowledge of the organizations Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.

    1. Maintains quality food and service at all designated retail venues with a hospitality focus for achieving excellence in customer service.
    2. Participates in the selection, orientation, training and performance evaluations of the staff to provide the opportunity for personal / professional development with a customer service focused approach and ensure all staff met the standards of competency required for satisfactory job performance. Supervises subordinate staff.
    3. Maintains a sanitary, safe and efficient operation in accordance with federal, state and local health regulations and all standards set forth by The Joint Commission and the Department of Health.
    4. Participates in the review, revision and / or development of Departmental Policies & Procedures.
    5. Merchandizes Retail Services effectively and creatively to achieve optimal marketing of facilities / image.

7. Maintains the appropriate par levels for food / non-food supplies to ensure operational efficiency and eliminate waste for all retail venues

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree in Food Service Management, Hotel / Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Additional management experience may be substituted for the degree on a year for year basis.
Must be able to perform computer skills to use departmental information systems: CBORD,BBOT, and Kronos (Training will be provided in orientation period.)
Two years of management experience in hospitality / food service industry, and Retail Services.
Certified in ServSafe program (within 6 months of hire.)
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $98,218.33 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
