MDBW- NY Contract & Pricing Analyst
Description/Job Summary
The Contract and Pricing Analyst is responsible for driving all contract, pricing and bid support activities, from quote-bid through implementation of contracts/pricing and execution/management. Tracking of performance will also be a part of this responsibility. The contract and pricing analyst will be responsible as the primary owner of the contract process of administering and sucessfully managing Medegen's Distributor/GPO/IDN contracts and all pricing activities.
Responsibilities/Duties

Collaborate with marketing, sales, IT, and other business partners in developing and supporting strategy for our Distributor, GPO and IDN customers including management of Marketing programs which require customer contracts.

Be familiar with legal and business issues associated with typical arrangments to best support business and provide any necessary guidance to achieve most preferred contract terms and language.

Develop, redline, manage and submit proposals and related amendments through all phases of contract negotiation and full execution. Any non-standard items requested by the customer will be escalated through the proper channels.

Manage contracts and approvals through the contract management tools (SAP/Sharepoint) to ensure that all required documentation, approvals, and executed agreements are received and documented.

Create and extract reports from the contract management tool (SAP/Sharepoint) displaying key performance indicators on both won and lost contract opportunities as well as forecasting of price escalators and other key contract provisions.

Proactively manage contract requirements including payments, compliance, renewal, consolidation and reconciliation efforts.

Identify areas of improvement and implement or recommend changes to improve contracts.

Participate as requested in the formation/negotiation of new contracts.

Act as an internal and external point of contact for all important correspondence related to Distributor/GPO/IDN contracts.

Prioritize special projects by required timelines, meeting and exceeding current metrics established in department.

Manage all annual contract and larger organization pricing reviews including implementation of contract changes.

Coordinate Contract launch/training and tracking, materials, update templates and processes as needed by the changing business needs.

Analytical support using a variety of internal and external data sources to provide customer metrics relative to contracts and overall business.

Required Qualifications

Education preferred-Bachelors degree (BA/BS) or Masters degree (MBA).

At least 5 years of contract experience preferred, including the creation and quality control of contracts and the ability to communicate extemporaneously to senior leadership and prepare ad hoc reports and presentations to this end.

Knowledge of healthcare industry prefereed but not required.

The contract analyst must also have the ability to identify business issues and the corresponding problems that these issues represent, possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong business ethics.

This role also requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, very analystical and willing to engage with both junior and senior level management across many departments.

Shows initiative, sets priorities, meets deadlines, works under pressure, team player.

Ability to handle multiple priorities.

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast-pace setting. Employee must have knowledge of all microsoft software; strong excel skills are essential.

Proficiency in SAP is preferred as daily use of SAP is required in this position.

Details

75% sitting in an office environment, spent on a computer/telephone; 25% interacting with employees and management in meetings, etc.
