The HIM and Insurance Coordinator Position at the Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Living, a world renowned long term care organization located in Riverdale - North Bronx will be responsible for maintaining all electronic and paper medical records in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as release of medical information.
The HIM and Insurance Coordinator will perform day to day operations of ongoing insurance authorization, including documentation submission and tracking of authorization periods. Issues all Medicare related notices according to guidelines. Prepares internal statistical reports regarding completion and non-completion of medical records for departments as needed.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates degree preferred. Two (2) years of medical billing or finance experience required. MS Office required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees of organization.
Compensation: Min. $24.7252 hourly - Max. $34.0659 hourly
