Position Summary

IPG Mediabrands is looking for a Director, HR Business Partner with a strong business partnering background who has worked in a dynamic, fast paced organization. This role will be hands-on and balance the strategic with the tactical while providing the full spectrum of HR Business Partner responsibilities including Performance Management, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, and will act as a partner to Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all US employees across US offices
  • Develop and cultivate key relationships with employees and managers across the business
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers on matters related to employee issues, performance, programs and initiatives
  • Assist in various annual activities including Talent Calibration, Compensation Planning and Talent Planning and Performance Management
  • Ideate and execute projects and initiatives to drive employee engagement
  • Facilitate talent processes including new hires and transfers in partnership with the Talent Operations team and Centers of Excellence
  • Responsible for Employee Relations in partnership with IPG Mediabrands Employee Relations group
  • Provide guidance on performance management, talent development practices, and HR tools
  • Provide insight on Talent metrics for employee surveys; develop action plans in response accordingly
  • Play a key role in strategic diversity initiatives including research, planning, promoting, and execution of events in partnership with D&I lead and Mediabrands COE
  • Proven understanding and awareness of employment law, industry trends, current practices and new developments
  • Facilitate learning activities for management and employees in conjunction with the L&D Partners
  • Develops and encourages direct report by continuously discussing goals, delivering feedback, and providing training opportunities
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of related Human Resources experience; experience working in a matrixed organization preferred
  • Experience partnering with Centers of Excellence model and in managing a direct report a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; must be able to able to engage with employees at all levels and able to handle sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy and confidentially
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels with strong desire to help others
  • Entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced culture
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus

The salary range for this position is posted below.
