Controller / Senior Accountant
We are currently looking for a full-time Controller / Senior Accountant with construction industry experience to work with our finance team and project managers to assist with financial reporting and job cost accounting.

We are currently looking for a full-time Controller / Senior Accountant with construction industry experience to work with our finance team and project managers to assist with financial reporting and job cost accounting.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual financial close process
- Work with project managers on budgets, cost to complete, and owner change orders
- Prepare and maintain WIP schedule
- Provide project analysis’
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Maintain cost and expense schedules and record journal entries
- Prepare and maintain multiple company and division reports
- Prepare and maintain intercompany entries
- Assist with compliance and financial audits
- Assist with insurance program, renewals, and maintenance
- Assist with the tracking and maintenance of equipment
- Reconcile GL accounts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Construction industry experience
- General knowledge of sales and use tax, highway use tax and payroll taxes
- Integrity, good work ethic, dependable, adaptable, cooperative and motivated to take on new responsibilities to increase value within the company
- Must be able to work with multiply companies and divisions
- Must be able to research and resolve variances and issues
- Must be highly organized, detailed orientated, accurate and self-check work
- Able to work independently with some oversite, and in a team environment
- Must follow established procedures
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Sage Software a plus
