PP Extruder Operator - Plastics (3rd Shift)

Currently there is an opening for a PP Extruder Operator in our Plastics division on 3rd shift (Starting Monday at 8:30PM to 6:30AM; 4 days Mon-Thursday)

Plastics PP Extruder Operator: Starting at $22.32 per hour!

SUMMARY: Extrusion and assembly of Thermoplastic Honeycomb blocks plastic.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Determine the customer requirements per the work order.
  2. Prepare for production run. Obtain appropriate and scheduled work order, load correct raw materials, and set up equipment to requirements stated in the Work Order and Standard Operating Procedures.
  3. Adjust equipment/dies (Temperature, Pressure, Water Flow, Speed, Feed) as needed to achieve correct Work Order and Standard Operating Procedure requirements.
  4. Set up all Tooling (sizers, frames, etc.) for appropriate size block and material.
  5. Process/Run material to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Order Standards and Requirements.
  6. Assemble Honeycomb Block to the appropriate honeycomb pattern and configuration per Work Order requirements.
  7. Mix adhesives and resins according to mixing instructions as needed.
  8. Perform all Quality checks on Material per Work Order and Standard Procedure requirements.
  9. Load and Cure-Heat Set Honeycomb blocks in oven per program-recipe requirements.
  10. Perform and record all necessary information to ensure traceability and quality of Material and Labor.
  11. Report production results at the end of the shift on all necessary documents and or software.
  12. Properly dispose of scrap material per Plascore, Inc. non-conforming material procedure.
  13. Properly identify all material to ensure traceability.
  14. Perform equipment maintenance and support functions, including screen changes, cutter and die cleaning, etc.
  15. Maintain clean safe work environment.
  16. Improve job efficiency and performance through idea suggestions.
  17. Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
  18. Perform all Duties and Responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner to meet Extruder and Material standards.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
