Job Description

About The Role: | Major goals and objectives.

The Director, HRBP, is responsible for driving strategic and positive organizational change through innovative HR solutions that support our people and our business. They will support several client groups directly and manage a team of three, who support client groups across multiple locations and functions. This role is located in New York and reports to the VP, HR Business Partners.

About The Role's Contributions:

40% - Work with senior leaders and their teams to create effective organizational design, change management strategies, and communication approaches, as well as develop employee engagement, performance management, and talent retention strategies that support business goals.

40% - Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports.

20% - Partner with talent acquisition, benefits, compliance, compensation, HRIS, and legal as needed. Other duties as may be assigned.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years in an HR partnering role.

  • Minimum of 3 years managing other HR Business Partners.

  • Experience providing coaching/guidance and direct feedback to senior leaders, employees, and direct reports.

  • Experience identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Strong HR procedure, best practice, and legal knowledge.

  • Ability to build relationships and trust.

  • Managing and developing direct reports.

  • Conflict management and resolution skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work activities efficiently to meet deadlines and goals.

  • High ethical standards.

  • Experience in the media industry and with unionized employees preferred but not required.

  • Confident and effective communicator with a customer service orientation.

Pay Range

Salary: $140,000 - $150,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
