Salary Range: $109K - $125K*

Position Overview:
As part of a larger External Affairs Office (EXO), the Strategic Partnerships department is responsible for fostering sustainable business growth that aligns with Vibrant Emotional Health's mission, vision, and core values. The Director of Business Development will identify and spearhead new business partnerships for Vibrant across Strategic Partnerships while supporting the overall department goals, strategy, and administration. The Director of Business Development will support the build out of the department and pursue new business opportunities to expand Vibrant's services from prospecting to contract management to ongoing relationship management. This role will also work across internal departments to lead scope of work design, drive implementation success, and ensure ongoing management of contractual fulfillment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strong program or department administration, strategic relationship management, business development, revenue generation, and a high level of detail orientation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Support Strategic Partnerships leadership in all aspects of development and maintenance of new business and department oversight
  • Support and drive department administration for corporate volunteering, corporate training, contact center partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and government grants as needed with VP
  • Develop prospecting and approach strategy with VP for new business growth and partnership expansion
  • Research, lead, and initiate new business opportunities and liaise closely with the team on workflow, program design, contract management, and due diligence
  • Develop and present strong proposals, project plans, and budgets for new business in collaboration with internal departments
  • Ensure successful business relationships through detail orientation, proactive and ongoing communication and follow up, and navigating changes of any partnership with care
  • Work with VP and internal departments to develop and design new opportunities for Vibrant to expand its services with external partners
  • Lead contract negotiations and maintenance with support of Legal department
  • Track and maintain database of client relationships in all stages with others in Strategic Partnerships
  • Apply strong project management skills to all aspects of partnership management
  • Track and report status of partnerships within Strategic Partnerships department
  • Represent Vibrant in external presentations and meetings
  • Other tasks as deemed appropriate for the role

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, communications, or related field with 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, Master's degree in business administration or public administration preferred
  • Demonstrable success in building and maintaining strategic partnerships
  • Personal alignment with and passion for Vibrant's vision, mission, and core values
  • Experience working in behavioral health, public health, or social services preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Moderately active at times with the ability to walk around at conferences, events, and throughout the day
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including: a computer, keyboard, and telephone
  • Some travel required
  • Comfort with in-person meetings and presentations
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, service providers, and others
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under stress
  • Ability to respond to telephones and other auditory stimulation
  • Ability to evaluate/interpret information and make independent judgment/decisions
