Responsibilities

This position interacts with employees within and outside the commercial banking department, customers, Attorneys, Capital Partners, and other third parties to provide quality service to our customers; while being able to solve problems and our achieve goals. Working to perform clerical and administrative services for all of the CRE Banking & Capital Market department Team members (including Commercial Loan Officer(s), the Swap Desk Team, the Syndication Team, Axiom Team Members, etc). Prioritizes and organizes responsibilities to assure timely completion for all assigned duties.

  • Work alongside Commercial Bankers and Axiom Originators for the coordination of loan, swap, and syndication closings from documentation, scanning of loan documentation, sending packages following loan closings, etc.
  • Review loan documentation and loan closing requirements alongside Commercial Bankers and Axiom Originators to insure all loan closing, post-closing, and servicing requirements have been met.
  • Work with Axiom, Loan Operations and Documentation Specialists for the follow up of loan and swap, and syndication closings by tracking incomplete, incorrect or missing documentation as required.
  • Create and draft memorandums, letters and other necessary documents to be used internally (for bank purpose), as well as externally (for customer and other third-party purposes).
  • Reviews and screens correspondence (internally and externally) for various Team Members and proceeds accordingly.
  • Establishes and maintains department and sensitive customer files and records (electronically)
  • Prepares manual and computer generated reports as requested to be reviewed locally as well as by our Board of Directors
  • Assures that assigned report and/or projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner as well as prioritizing necessary tasks
  • Provides quality assistance to commercial loan customers and internal Team Members e.g. process transactions, responds to inquiries, answer questions etc.
  • Ensure that loan payments, deposits and general ledger transactions are processed correctly for commercial loans.
  • Other department duties include research, organizing meetings, making reservations and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma plus three (3) year of additional specialized education or equivalent.
  • Typing, PC proficiency (with Microsoft Office Products and loan documentation software).
  • Good written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of loan forms, processes, and procedures.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of working with Commercial/Retail Lenders or three (3) years of paralegal/Attorney Administrative Assistant experience required.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
