Job Description
General-All Areas:
  • Analyzes complex financial data, extracts, and defines relevant information.
  • Exercises accounting control over a group of accounts within an assigned area.
  • Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts.
  • Reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolves differences.
  • Prepares internal and external financial reports, explains accounting transactions, and resolves accounting issues and discrepancies.
  • Prepare variance explanations and assist in gathering financial information
  • Assist with accounting tasks and special research projects as needed

Accounts Receivable and Billing
  • Manages all aspects of the Accounts Receivable function including aging, collection, and problem resolution.
  • Performs analytical review and ensuring the accuracy of the billing process as well as compliance Creates, reviews, and posts monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Records and reconciles all investment in associated organizations activity.
  • Assists in the annual audit process by providing confirmation requests, analysis, supporting schedules, or documentation as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fields of study.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience with strong Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Understanding of financial concepts of revenue recognition, and billing.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and familiarity of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) is required.
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and strong organization skills required.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information and financial documents.
