The Account Manager is responsible for enrolling Medicare members through group and in-home sales presentations. Must demonstrate the ability to create and maintain effective business relationships with local businesses, agencies, and organizations focused on the Medicare population in assigned territory. Will be responsible for prospecting, sales, servicing, retention, and penetration within assigned territory. The Account Manager must have the ability to work independently daily and effectively manage their time and territory to ensure that all sales and service standards are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.

  • NYS Life, Accident and Health Insurance License required or secured within 90 days of employment.

  • Two (2) years direct business-to-business sales experience or one (1) year health insurance sales experience required. Experience working with Medicare population preferred.
  • Group or Medicare health insurance sales experience with managed care or indemnity products preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. Demonstrated ability at public speaking required.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and place cold calls to prospects is required.
  • Working knowledge of computers. Database management is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of collateral material required.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation. If driving vehicle for CDPHP business, employee must have valid driver's license, current inspection and appropriate insurance coverage in effect at all times.

CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
