Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. Job Responsibilities
Overall support will include but is not limited to:

Dean's Office:

  • Coordinate schedules, meetings and room assignments for the school, including scheduling office/zoom meetings
  • Coordinate special events within the school and with external parties including alumni, employers, and community partners
  • Coordinate meetings with all campus departments when needed
  • Procure office supplies and maintain mail management
  • Communicate with outside pharmacy professional communities, including local, state and national organizations
  • Oversee work study students and peer tutors
  • Maintain all documentation for the school of pharmacy

Budget responsibility:
  • Submit payments to business office
  • Reconcile Banner accounts quarterly, submit FLAC (Faculty Load and Compensation), submit faculty workloads

Student/Academic Responsibility:
  • Enter courses into Banner each semester and implement student specific needs
  • Coordinate directly with Registrars office
Cross Campus Service:
  • Coordinate with the Provost/Presidents administrative office
  • Collaborate with the Grants, Advancement, Registrar and Alumni offices for specific school needs
  • Coordinate with other offices across campus as needed
Education / Experience
Associate Degree and/or previous experience in academic environment is desirable

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Desire to be part of an innovative academic team
  • Ability to change priorities over time as the school and department needs evolve
Competencies / Skills

Applicants should have:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with common computer office programs (e.g. Microsoft office, Adobe, internet)
  • Ability to learn new computer based applications
  • Prior working knowledge of basic office/teaching machinery (e.g. copiers/printers, scanners, projectors, classroom podiums)
