The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a litigation associate to join the Litigation team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. About you:

  • You have 3-4 years of both general commercial litigation and bankruptcy experience;
  • You have experience drafting complaints and motions, conducting discovery, appearing in federal, state and bankruptcy courts, negotiating settlements, and corresponding with opposing counsel and clients Experience in creditors' rights law preferred, including collateral repossession, the Uniform Commercial Code (Articles 2, 2A and 9 in particular), equipment leasing, and commercial finance law;
  • You have deposition and case management experience;
  • You have a J.D. degree (or its equivalent) and strong academic credentials;
  • You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, New York; and
  • New Jersey bar admittance, in addition to New York admittance, is preferred.

Compensation:

  • $240,000 - $255,000 annual base salary.
