The Sales Database Analyst is the primary administrator for Duncan Aviation's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Jet Aviation Knowledge Base (JAKB) databases. Responsible for daily updates and ongoing maintenance of the various data tables contained within the CRM and JAKB database to identify significant maintenance and service events and locates essential information for sales teams to pursue. Builds and maintains relational databases that are reliant on or leverage a higher level of data from internal and external information resources. Builds and distributes various reports used at all levels in the company. Protects the integrity of the information contained within the CRM and identifies areas where a process change or refinement of data could result in improved output. Provides administrative and clerical functions to support the Engine Sales team and builds campaigns and transactions for sales teams to pursue.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Researches and maintains core aircraft data using various internal and external resources to track significant service and upgrade opportunities for the aircraft and passes this information along to Sales team members.
  2. Assists in the maintenance and enhancement of internal information systems with relevant information for generating new and ongoing sales and marketing campaigns. Uses Structured Query Language (SQL) and custom database queries to leverage information assets, enhance information value, and retrieve information within the AS400 for sales and management through custom lists, campaign queries, and business intelligence reports.
  3. Uses Microsoft Access to build and maintain relational databases used to create and generate highly complex queries to connect internal and external data, protect information integrity, build custom reports, identify new sales opportunities, and evaluate historic information. Assists in populating the sales pipeline for regional managers and sales teams and for extracting historical data for reporting and forecasting purposes.
  4. Works closely with sales and marketing team members to generate call lists and campaigns and provides technical support and regular status updates and reports. Serves as liaison between CRM users, sales, IT, and Accounting.
  5. Researches customers, aircraft owners, and operators information and maintains CRM by continuously and accurately adding and updating information using first-hand information, JetNet reports, log books, the AS400 and other sources. Updates key aircraft information, inspection programs, engine information, competitive information, contact information, mailing addresses, complete aircraft listings, etc. Coordinates with Sales Teams, Regional Managers, and other departments regarding AS400 and CRM information. Researches engine status and enters information into the Jet Aviation Knowledge Base (JAKB).
  6. Creates and maintains reports, spreadsheets and documentation using information from the CRM, JetNet, and other customer and prospect lists and reports as requested.
  7. Responsible for creating and maintaining a guidebook of knowledge management procedures. Assists Supervisor with developing new procedures and implementing training for team members.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum two years previous database administration experience and IT related experience required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) required
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
