Job Description

The Manager, GTM Strategy & Operations will join a global team driving Datadog's next phase of growth. We're interdisciplinary thinkers leveraging diverse business backgrounds to accelerate Datadog's expansion. We work directly with Datadog's most senior leaders to set strategy, improve efficiency across the business, support data-driven decision-making, own complex operations, and more.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do:

  • Work with your team to develop strategic plans for our global business and operating divisions, both short-term (<12 mo) and long-term (>24 mo) - from creating high-level recommendations (e.g. setting headcount and KPI targets) to leading new operational initiatives (e.g. defining new business priorities, driving special projects to accelerate revenue, designing incentive structures to achieve targets)

  • Act as the primary point of contact for global Sales capacity planning, owning bottoms-up headcount, quota, and revenue modeling and liaising with key cross-functional GTM partners to drive investment decisions

  • Design, implement, and measure global transformation programs and deliver improvements to our operating model; own end-to-end execution of projects alongside your team and senior GTM leaders

  • Take a hands-on approach to problem-solving, continuously pivoting from big-picture strategic planning to tactical execution, including getting deep into the weeds

  • Unblock your team as needed, including by aligning relevant senior stakeholders across the company and prioritizing the most important tasks

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, FP&A, Revenue Operations, People, and other GTM teams across the business

  • Be a player-coach, managing a team of 3-4 FTEs to start

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years in GTM/Sales strategy, revenue operations and/or management consulting, including direct people management experience

  • Confident and low-ego player-coach: recognize that when your team shines, you shine alongside them

  • Strong sense of ownership: own and measure outcomes with "no task too small" attitude

  • Experience designing and administering critical GTM processes in a complex organization

  • Strong analytical problem-solving abilities: can model any operational question with high attention to detail and coach others to do the same

  • Proven ability to develop actionable recommendations and process improvements from qualitative and quantitative data and coach others to do the same

  • Experience working closely with executive level stakeholders

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in capacity planning, sales compensation or TAM analysis

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS company

  • MBA or equivalent

Benefits and Growth:

  • Continuous training and career growth

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan

  • Generous and competitive

  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
