Job Description

The Inventory Control Analyst will be primarily responsible for coordinating the cycle counting process for the site's warehouses and distribution center. The objective of the cycle counting process is to routinely verify the physical inventory against the company's perpetual records. Should a variance be identified between the perpetual and physical, this individual will be responsible to identify root cause, work cross functionally to reconcile the variance, then develop preventative actions to avoid repetition with warehouse leadership. Monthly reporting of cycle counting results, including root causes, will be included in the duties for this position.

The Inventory Control Analyst will train warehouse employees on performing cycle counts, as well as provide education on the company's inventory control software and operating hardware. In addition, this position will monitoring material usages to ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO requirements. Finally, this position will play a key role in planning, executing and reconciling physical inventories.

Salary Range: $56,652.00 - $90,642.00

Essential Functions

Quarterly Cycle Counts Completed

Lead the cycle counting process to ensure that all site inventory is physically counted and reconciled once every three months. Site physical inventories will count against this result. Coordinate cycle counts with warehouse and distribution center leadership, using their reports to perform the actual counts on a routine basis as part of their standard work. Routinely report cycle count results, including error causes.

BPCS Quality Batch Records Up-to-Date

Posts raw material received to the inventory system; verifies prices, quantity, etc. against proper documentation. Enters and maintains the usage of raw materials in the inventory system. Enters and maintains data on "blend creates" in the inventory system. Maintains the Work in Process Bead Inventory by entering data from worksheets into the system. Enters data collected from the Blend Usage and Finished Goods Access program into the inventory system. Posts all inspection losses, retrieved from the Access Program, into the inventory system. Enters data on shipped goods using bills of lading to remove product from the inventory system. Enters data on destroyed material. Retrieves information from the system(s) to provide month-end reports (e.g. usage, 'creates', blend doses, finished product, returned goods, etc.) and reconciles to insure accurate inventory records. Assigns and enter part numbers in the system for new products.

API in Process Log Workbooks Reconciled

Reconciles room inventory and calculates total cost of in-process materials.

Inventory Problems Resolved

Reconcile variances between physical and perpetual balances, identifying the root causes with warehouse and distribution center leadership. Develop, recommend and assist in implementing lasting preventative actions.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • 1 to 2 years' intimate involvement with cycle counting, inventory control and variance reconciliation (can be part of experience mentioned 4above).
  • Experience in a SOP/cGMP environment.
