Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for a Senior Landscape Architect - Project Manager to join our team in Rochester, NY.

Our team of licensed and registered landscape architects and LEED accredited professionals provides a multi-disciplined approach to each project. With strategies that complement the public project environment, our professionals are experienced in all facets of landscape design, bidding document preparation and construction administration.

We routinely collaborate with architects, planners and other team members to specify amenities, plant materials and hardscape features to create the appropriate aesthetic balance between the requirements of the project and the natural environment. Our barrier-free designs incorporate features that enable everyone to participate in the spaces we create.


Responsibilities

* Work with Landscape Architecture team in all aspects of the planning and design of landscape and civil/site development projects, including writing specifications, development/detailing of construction documents, and preparing cost estimates
* Assist with business development and lead project team to create proposal and presentation materials for Landscape Architecture lead projects
* Research zoning, precedents, and agency regulations related to proposed projects and assist with submissions to various agencies
* Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partnering organizations
* Lead QA/QC efforts for Landscape Architecture related projects, as needed
* Mentor and coach staff to grow professionally and increase productivity and professional skills
* Perform field inspections of landscape and civil/site related construction to ensure compliance with specifications and construction documents, as requested
* Participate in initial project set up, progress, and detailing of landscape architecture and civil/site plans working with AutoCAD and Land F/X
* Maintain awareness of project deadlines, project dates and budgetary guidelines


Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture
* Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture and Civil/Site
* Licensure / Certifications: Registered Landscape Architect preferred
* Project management, business development, and client-facing experience
* Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and practices in production of quality technical plans, details, and specifications
* Knowledge of plant materials, design materials, and tools involved in the construction of site related structures
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D / LandF/X
* Proficient with Sketch Up / Photoshop / Illustrator for graphic presentations
* Working knowledge of MS Office
* GPS/GIS experience a plus

Compensation: $102,000-$132,000 DOQ
