Overview

Colliers Engineering & Deisgn is seeking a Power BI Analyst that will deliever business intelligent services and will tackle exciting challenges in colloborate teams. The primary responsibility of a Power BI Analyst is to lead the development of BI software, and generate Power BI reports. In essence, the role involves transforming raw data into organized and valuable reports that gather meaningful business insights. Responsibilities

  • Work as a Program Analyst/Power BI developer in Software Development Department.
  • Perform tasks on Power BI desktop (Basic to Advance) like ETL (Extract Transform and Load), Manage Relationship and creating Visuals.
  • Will establish logic and primary keys for table relationship in Power BI.
  • Perform tasks independently using advance Power Query steps, DAX formulas, Measures etc.
  • Keep track of various dashboards created and targets.
  • Execute agile type of task under typical program/portfolio.
  • Work on advance excel & Power BI to carry out any type of project analysis.
  • Connecting various data sources to Power BI (SQL based BST, Files, SharePoint folder, Azure, or such databases).Analytical thinking for translating data into meaningful statistics & information.
  • Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Deployment of Dashboard and Maintenance of Power BI Services for internal clients. Handling Admin activities of Power BI workspace.
  • Understand Power BI REST APIs to capture additional information that might be useful in understanding Colliers Power BI environment.
  • A large emphasis will be on DAX formulas.
  • Help to make BST BI data available in Power BI.
  • Includes data validation, Power Query transformations, creating additional columns/measures, testing, etc.
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality of data.
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and partnering with a data warehouse team to maintain databases.
  • Filtering and cleaning data to ensure accuracy.
  • Creating visualizations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing dashboards and other tools to help stakeholders understand key metrics.
  • Documenting requirements for data visualizations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT related field, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
  • Data Visualization Tools (Tableau or Power BI).
  • SQL Databases.
  • Should have experience in Power BI advance.
  • Power BI Certification preferred.
  • Ability to identify patterns in large datasets.
  • Interpreting results using statistical techniques and communicating findings effectively.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Effective Verbal & Written Communication, Proactiveness & ownership attitude is required.
  • Should be creative in terms of producing visuals and showing data in presentable format.
