***PART-TIME PLUS (30 hours/week, full time benefits)***

Position Purpose/Summary: Receives and processes mail transactions and expedites business by mail. Maintains equipment and files necessary to keep accurate records. Performs clerical duties pertaining to teller functions, loan payments, and deposits. Provides general assistance to members by giving inquiry information and withdrawals. Assists in other areas within the department as assigned and necessary to ensure all member needs are met. Processes third party vendor ACH bill payment transactions and completes monthly general ledger reconciliation. This position will be responsible for training new employees, must have attended continuous training for the IRA and ARS responsibilities and can answer the basic questions for those roles.

This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma with at least one-year experience in finance, customer service, or related discipline. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and various Credit Union software and systems.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with employees and members on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills; Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment)
  • Positively communicate with diverse employee and membership population while providing excellent customer service
  • Strong computer and math skills, adherence to confidentiality, detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of Credit Union product and service offerings preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All duties and responsibilities align with Visions Federal Credit Union and are subject to reform at-will of the company. Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Process financial transactions promptly and accurately; Adhere to all credit union policies and procedures; Prioritize member's demands; Provide impeccable customer service, including utilizing communication tools through CRM program.
  • Train new Member Operations employees on the duties of a Member Operations Representative. Will be responsible for training new employees, MUST have attended continuous training for the IRA and ARS responsibilities and can answer the basic questions for those roles.
  • Assist members and employees with inquiries concerning basic IRA, POA, Trust, Death Claims and Subpoenas.
  • Review and update Member Operations Representative procedures, communicate and train co-workers on updates.
  • Daily review ABRV finance report to identify Vanco ACH exceptions. Complete G/L voucher and process exceptions.
  • Assign incoming Vanco ACH bill payment transactions. Reconciles Vanco general ledger on a daily basis.
  • Assists members with basic information pertaining to loans, share deposits, and withdrawals.
  • Completion of required regulatory compliance forms for BSA, CIP, OFAC and other NCUA Regulations.
  • Keeps management abreast of problem areas causing member dissatisfaction, complaints, and problems.
  • Apply checks and write up lien release support documentation for Loan Servicing to complete.
  • Handle closed account requests as from Security/BSA officer to include opening new checking or savings accounts or conducting fraud "Account Conversion" procedures, as necessary. May include ordering new cards, checks, assisting members with re-appropriating ACH transactions, etc.
  • Incorporates cross selling techniques of other Credit Union and D.F.S./VIS/VET services and products at every opportunity during member contact, as appropriate.
  • Attends training sessions as directed and keeps abreast of new services, policies, and procedures.
  • Receives and resolves mail transaction errors.
  • Balances Check21 program.
  • Distribute closed account requests received by mail.
  • Accurately scan and index department work to SYNERGY.
  • Prints and distributes to appropriate managers all monthly reports assigned.
  • Must be able to ID members according to Identification Policy / procedures prior to giving information or performing transactions if handling a call.
  • Must be knowledgeable of policies on new accounts procedures and regulations with an emphasis on protecting the Credit Union and the members from Identity Theft via mail requests.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Privacy Act. Assure that all members' confidential information is secured and/or properly destroyed daily.
  • Must be able to obtain 80% passing grades on quarterly Product Knowledge tests and other tests assigned.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner.

Compensation Range: $ 20.00/hr. - $25.50/hr. *Hiring rates may be dependent on a number of factors, including years of directly related work experience, education, geographic location or special skills*
