Job Description

Independently design and develop analytic solutions that investigate both quantitative and qualitative aspects of strategic and tactical service activities. Provide outputs or results in self-service formats - e.g., dashboards, visuals, graphical displays.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ability to translate customer needs and/or use cases into analytic solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex data sets specific to supply chain and operations and formulate insights for vaguely defined problems.
  • Ability to identify, source, and analyze data sets from disparate systems.
  • Utilize statistical models and algorithms to produce a range of insights that influence systemic, process, or business-related courses of action.
  • Ability to recognize deviations from expected process or systems performance, apply appropriate analytical techniques, and effectively communicate methods and outputs for specific supply chain functions: e.g., Planning, Fulfillment, Procurement, Finance
  • Develops advanced dashboards and reports in PowerBI and other visualization tools for stakeholders to consume analysis and insights or collect data-backed insights.
  • Identify KPIs that evaluate business effectiveness in a variety of areas. Builds ad hoc and regular metrics on key performance measures.
  • Enables the process of data automation through various tools - Python, Data Studio, SQL, Excel
  • Creates and maintains data models that take raw data sets and transforms them into clean, usable output data sets.
  • Ensures analytical reports are developed, tested, and published to production within the designated Data Analytics process timeframe.
  • Maintains data hygiene by ensuring quality assurance efforts, defines logic for attribution and equations for calculated metrics.
  • Recommends measures to improve efficiency, user adoption and/or quality of Data Analytics services and deliverables.
  • Partners with developers to design and build long-term data solutions.
  • Develops and maintains relevant areas of corporate data dictionary and maintains inventory of data needs and system interface needs.
  • Educates and trains non-data team members about how to access, analyze, and visualize data
  • Shares expertise with cross functional departments on data tools and techniques and practices in telling a concise story on data analytic deliverables. May present conclusions and recommendations to Senior Management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Business, Applied Math, or related field.
  • 4 years of relevant professional and practical experience with Supply Chain and/or Operations analytics.

Security/Certification Requirements

  • Job duty assignment requires "Privileged" access, must possess the following:
  • Sensitivity Level: IT-I - Critical Sensitive
  • Clearance: Secret
  • IA Level: IAT II
  • 8570.01-M Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility or software tools administration which require "Privileged Access"
  • Computing Environment: From most current DLA approved Computing Environment Certification List
  • DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: Application Administrator

Required Job Skills

  • Basic professional certification with analytics tools (e.g., SAS, R).
  • Experience with delivery lifecycle using AGILE methodology.
  • SQL, Relational and/or Non-Relational Database Design.

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Experience with PowerBI
  • Experience with various data analysis tools - Python, Data Studio, SQL
  • Ability to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Able to collaborate across the company with all levels of management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and present briefings and demos to cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and focus on delivering results in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to create achievable project plans, adhere to timeline of project deliverables, and secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project stakeholders.
