Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Scientist to lead field monitoring efforts safely and in compliance with quality plans and standard operating procedures. There is tremendous potential for growth for the right individual.
Location:Carlsbad, CA
Expected Outcome:
  • Collecting water and sediment samples in dry and wet weather
  • Installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment and sensors
  • Recording of field observations and measurements
  • Organization and preparation of equipment and supplies for monitoring
  • Data entry and reporting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with focus on environmental science or engineering, biology, toxicology, hydrology or similar.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of work experience with surface water quality, watershed management and environmental chemistry.
  • Experience with surface water quality, watershed management and environmental chemistry.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including technical document preparation.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in inclement weather and challenging conditions.
  • Positive attitude/self-starter.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Experience with GIS or modeling software preferred.
  • Knowledge of local watersheds preferred.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $48,000 - $64,100 - $80,000
