National Grid is seeking a highly motivated Senior Program Manager to join our NY Customer Sales and Solutions department as part of our Electric Vehicle (EV) Implementation team in Upstate New York.

Job Purpose

As a Senior Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our residential, commercial, and fleet EV installation contractors who deliver projects related to our EV incentive programs. Main responsibilities will be to grow both the number of contractors participating in our programs, the number of quality projects submitted, and as a result increase the number of customers participating in our EV program such that they support our significant program goals.

In addition to supporting the contractor base, you will also be designing and delivering training, outreach, and awareness deliverables that support the efforts by contractors, developers, dealerships, and OEMs.. These offerings include the Residential Managed Charging, Commercial EV Make Ready Program (MRP), Fleet and Medium Heavy-Duty Vehicle (MHDV) Pilot, as well as newer offerings such as the Demand Charge Rebate incentive, the upcoming Load Management Technology Incentive, and supporting the implementation of Commercial EV Managed Charging as NYS policy evolves.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with residential, commercial, and fleet installation contractors to support the growth of their participation in our EV incentive programs.
  • Work closely with EV program managers to educate and inform contractors and channel partners of system requirements, support quality training and information sessions that help ensure quality projects are delivered timely with in program goals and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase the awareness and number of active contractors participating in our programs.
  • Work within the team to develop and deliver educational session, preform outreach activities, connect with the various contractors, developers, dealerships, and OEMs regarding the various EV incentives offered.
  • Support processes optimization of engagement, tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Stay up to date with NYS policy changes related to managed charging and provide support in implementing these changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of the incentive programs, meet reporting requirements, and stay up to date with federal, state and community efforts related to clean transportation.
  • Enhance existing channel and outreach strategies and develop new ones in collaboration with sales, marketing, and other program managers and product owners.
  • Understand the program impacts on other internal groups including electric operations, design, and connections teams support contracts as they submit projects.
  • Explore innovative solutions to improve program effectiveness and deliver value to contractors, developers, dealerships, and OEMs.

Qualifications

  • A degree directly related to program or product delivery.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in program management, consumer-based technical sales, account/contractor management, or project implementation.
  • Experience working with contractors and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations, influence outcomes, and handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on action and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in relevant software programs and tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), AI, and CRMs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on technical and financial information.
  • Knowledge or experience in electric vehicles, energy efficiency, program management, building systems, energy regulation or environmental policy, utility operations, or clean energy programs.

Salary

$92,000 - $108,000 a year

Salary is commensurate with experience and location.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position, gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
