Job Summary:

Schedules procedures and examinations according to department and/or physician guidelines, ensuring accurate and complete patient and procedure information. Prepares, compiles and maintains patient records while also performing receptionist and clerical duties.

Key Position Details:

Allina Health is expanding our Primary Care and Specialty services in the community of Eden Prairie, MN in early 2025. Specialties will include Cardiovascular Care, Cardiac Rehab, Primary Care, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Women's Health (Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Urogynecology), and Orthopedics. The Allina Health Clinic in Eden Prairie is conveniently located on Prairie Center Drive and off of US-212 just 25 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the MSP International Airport.

Join our Women's Health team at our newly-expanded Eden Prairie Specialty Clinic. Women's Health services in Eden Prairie will include integrated, full spectrum of Women's Health services, including Integrative Medicine, Mental Health, OB/GYN and Uro/Gynecology services, among many more. The care team focuses on whole person care with a multi-disciplinary care team to support a patient through their health journey.

  • Part-time scheduling coordinator position for our new Women's Health Services in Eden Prairie.
  • Schedule includes day shifts and no weekends, as well as the opportunity to discuss flexible schedule options.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities
  • Patient scheduling and registration
    • Schedules, verifies or re-schedules appointments. Delivers daily schedules as needed.
    • Collects and enters all required patient scheduling information into system.
    • Verifies demographic and insurance information, updates as needed.
    • Instructs patient and staff regarding special instructions and preparation.
  • Maintain departmental records, reports, files and supplies
    • Maintain patient records and department logs and files as required.
    • Prints and distributes reports as required.
    • May update policy and/or procedure manual.
    • May be accountable for office supply ordering and stocking.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description, and High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Training from a healthcare program preferred
  • 2 to 5 Years medical office experience that includes scheduling within an automated environment preferred and
  • Experience working in a fast-paced medical environment with the ability to identify priorities, work independently, problem solve and multi-task preferred and
  • Strong working knowledge of medical terminology as well as Windows, Word and Excel preferred
