LEWA America is a leading provider of pumping solutions and we are seeking to grow our team! As an Applications Sales Engineer at LEWA, you will work in our Houston, Texas office, reporting to the Applications Sales Engineering Manager. You will help drive the sales of our Nikkiso Canned Motor pumps by providing technical expertise to our clients. You will work with our sales team to ensure that our clients receive the best pumping solutions tailored to their needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Identify customer requirements and assess interest level, potential, product specification to assist with sales strategy.

  • Prepare technical and commercial proposal offerings, consulting with the sales team, and comparing technical offerings to the competition.

  • Maintain project files, provide documentation, communication, finalize costs and sales factors, and prepare standardized quotations for submittal.

  • Support sales team by completing commercial and technical proposals, including project revisions, on or before the due date.

  • Visit customers and/or Sales Representatives.

  • Inform customers of benefits of the Nikkiso Canned Motor Pump products and offer alternatives, trials, discounts, or other promotions.

  • Maintain relationships with customers and sales representatives by keeping a record of key account contacts within assigned areas, and motivate representatives through regular product and technical communications.

  • Maintain technical knowledge by participating in E-learning sessions, establishing a network of professional contacts, and understanding competitors' products.

  • Contribute to team effort by attending and participating in sales meetings, coordinating sales issues with the pump order administrator and assisting in the resolution.

  • Work with the Nikkiso factory to review official documentation against specific requirements of sales orders to ensure the execution of the job meets customer expectations.
