Responsibilities

Do you have experience operating small machinery - including power and hand tools? Are you experienced working with cleaning chemicals? Are you looking to find more than just a job - rather a career filled with purpose? Do you want to make an impactful difference by providing affordable housing to those that need it most?

If so, we are looking for you to join our team as a Part Time Porter, 8 hours each day, Monday - Wednesday & Friday!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS A PORTER

  • Perform upkeep and janitorial duties so that your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds.
  • Learn new skills and work closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities.
  • Engage in minor maintenance work in coordination with building maintenance team.
  • Assist in preparation of vacant units with maintenance team.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents while performing job duties.
  • Inspect property and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform snow removal and/or landscaping as needed.
  • Maintain building supplies and inventory in proper condition.
  • Communicate with management to address safety concerns as needed.
  • Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.

COMPENSATION:

  • $19.00 - $20.00 / hour
  • with an annual bonus that is tied to performance

Qualifications

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • You have at least 2 years of maintenance/facilities experience with affordable housing experience preferred
  • You're able to work our emergency on-call rotation as needed and can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
