Capital Innovations Project Leader & Senior Analyst

These Capital Innovations positions are part of an exciting new initiative to work with long-term investors and quality businesses that are responsible employers.
The financial crisis revealed that short-term thinking, misaligned incentives, and a misunderstanding of risk fostered investment practices that hurt workers and their communities, as well as Americans’ retirement savings. The Capital Innovations program works with creative long-term investors to find responsible ways to deploy capital and with responsible enterprises to build sustainable businesses.
These Capital Innovations positions will each play lead roles in one or more Capital Innovations projects, such as:
· Design and development of innovative financing vehicles, working with creative long-term investors.
· Strategic planning with responsible businesses facing capital gaps in the current financial environment.
· Industry structure and competitive analysis of the capital needs of industries facing significant disruption and transition.

The Capital Innovations Project Leader must have strong relational skills and an entrepreneurial orientation, with strengths in creativity, leadership, strategic planning, and project management. The candidate must also demonstrate an exceptional ability to quickly assimilate financial and specialized knowledge. Backgrounds in related areas such as investment banking, M&A, community development, entrepreneurship, or strategic organizing are valued. Commitment to the goals of the labor movement is essential.
The Capital Innovations Senior Analyst must demonstrate experience in financial analysis, an ability to continually acquire technical and financial competencies, and a capacity to apply analytic skills in innovative ways. The candidate should have a proven track record in strategic planning and project management. Backgrounds in related areas such as finance, corporate analysis, development finance, strategic research, and planning are valued. Commitment to the goals of the labor movement is essential.
